What comes in my package?

Adopting from Plushie Couture is an experience, and unboxing your new friend is half the fun! Each box comes with an introduction letter and is packed full of surprises. Our friends never travel alone and always include a second “Stowaway Plush or Friend” who snuck along for the journey. In addition, they are addicted to bringing gifts and making you smile! Everything in your box is gift wrapped, and includes ten or more surprise items as gifts to you! Our goal is to make every adoption an experience that you will never forget! 

Why Adopt a Plushie Couture creation ? 

Friends created from the broken toy parts that were once thrown away and forgotten. These custom creatures were even rejected by second hand shops due to their condition. Instead of sending these misunderstood novelties to their doom, we were determined to give new life to these lost toys. All parts go through a detailed sanitation process before their new journey as New Friends. 

How are shipping costs calculated?

Shipping defaults to the United States Postal Service (USPS) with Tracking for all packages. All costs are calculated by the USPS, or the carrier selected. Factors include package size, weight, distance to destination, and time frame selected. 
Please note: As we stated above in the FAQ What comes in my package? our packages are filled with love and surprises. If these additional items should cause the cost of shipping to exceed what is quoted at checkout, we will cover the additional cost to upgrade the label for the added weight. 

Who is responsible for shipping costs? 

Buyers are responsible for covering any and all shipping costs. Please note: Plushie Couture does not receive any of the funds paid for shipping. Shipping charges go directly to the carrier that is selected by the buyer at checkout.

Why are shipping costs so high?

Shipping rates are set by the USPS and other major carriers. These charges are outside of our control. Please note: The added gifts in each package contribute to the weight. Additionally, all shipping rates are set for two or more pounds which guarantees a tracking number with every order. 

Oversized Items: When shipping our largest items we will compare rates with additional carriers and refund any overpayment in shipping fees.  How will I know if my item is “Oversized”? These items will be marked specifically as “Oversized” in the listing description. 

Where can I find my tracking number?

We will send you an email once your package has shipped with your tracking number included. 

Why hasn’t my package shipped yet?

We put each package together with love and care to ensure it brings you as much joy in opening it as we had putting it together. We strive to ship every package as soon as possible. 
When you submit your adoption, we immediately begin preparing them for their journey to you. While it is often faster, this time varies, and it can take as many as three to five business days before beginning their journey. This preparation, or processing time, is in addition to the shipping time you selected at checkout.

When will I receive my package?

The timing of your delivery is determined by the carrier and the shipping options you selected at checkout. Once the package leaves our hands we have no control over the timing of its arrival. We cannot guarantee what day it will arrive. 
Please note: Current events and regional delays can impact the timing of your delivery. This can include, but is not limited to, severe weather, carrier operational delays, customs, holidays, seasonal demand, and precautions and delays related to the global pandemic.  Please see your selected carriers website for more information on current delays. 

Where is my package?

Every Plushie Couture package is extremely important to us. We are always here to help with any issues or questions. Each package includes tracking from the carrier you select. Once the package leaves our hands we are no longer in control. It is often best to reach out to the carrier directly. 
In addition, once international packages leave the United States, USPS tracking stops. For shipping inquiries beyond this point, please reach out to your local post office. We are unable to contact your local post office, or customs office on your behalf. For unique inquiries please contact us directly.

Can I choose my “surprises”?

We’re constantly looking for fun items to gift as surprises! Many of which are rare or in limited supply. To keep things interesting and fun we’re always rotating our stock, and the surprises must remain surprises. In the past we’ve included things like vintage items, memorabilia, collectibles, and toys. Check out our reviews for some great pictures to get a better idea of what you might receive! 
Additional items included in your package are taken from dead closeout stock to create a truly unique experience by reducing waste.   

Do you allow returns or exchanges? 

Do to the nature of our products being handmade, we do not accept returns or cancellations, however your happiness is very important to us. We request you to please contact us if you have any problems or concerns with your adoption.
